The Story: “Summer Time Madness”
(Concept/story written by Sandra Saenz)

When madness takes over we do stupid things, but when summertime takes over it just makes everyone act like a hormone-crazed 15 year old ready to get the new fling of two weeks’ name tattooed on our bodies. Somehow we can brainwash ourselves, at the beginning of summer, that we’ll be fine when the end of July rolls around and it’s time to say adios. Summer time Madness is not a developing love story between two characters, it’s about delusion, the type that summer relationships experience when they come and go.

The Makeup and Hair Process:

The makeup and hair was kept simple, nothing too complicated. I wanted the makeup to represent the ease in which one goes into these “summer flings”: Most people don’t plan a summer love, but are easily drawn into one. Same wise, I wanted her looks to transition easily from one to another. Screen Shot 2016-07-05 at 1.47.20 AM

In the picture below, the wet semi-tangled hair was meant to symbolize how “tangled” relationships can get towards the end.
